. Finally, select the driver file named 'FTDI USB Drivers', located in the 'Drivers' folder of the Arduino Software download. Note: the FTDI USB Drivers are from Arduino. But when you install drivers for other Controllers, such as Xadow Main Board, Seeeduino Clio, Seeeduino Lite, you need to download corresponding driver file and save it. Most of the time, when you install Arduino on Mac OS X, the drivers are installed automatically. However, if there was a problem with the installation and you don't see any options that include 'usbserial' under the 'Tools - Serial Port' menu, then you will need to install the drivers.
Hi,
i just try to put some software onto an Arduino Mega. I've connected USB and also tested with external power but it seems the USB->Serial connection isn't established. I can't see the serial port in the list - only the bluetooth related stuff from the system.
I'm using Arduino 1.0 (downloaded yesterday) - any idea what may go wrong? Tried rebooting but didn't help. Couldn't find anything helpful through google so far.
Thanks,Frank

EDIT: Tried under Windows and works - so the board seems to be ok just there's no serial port on the Lion.
